Carlo Cossutta was a star tenor whose career unfolded at a time when the opera world was already overflowing with star tenors. While he may have lacked some of the flamboyance that drew mass appeal, he more than compensated with his superb technique and an ability to deliver even the most punishing vocal lines with elegance and heartfelt restraint. His artistry is on full display in this compilation, which features over an hour of excerpts from La Bohème, Cavalleria Rusticana, Macbeth, Attila, La Traviata, Il Trovatore, Un Ballo in maschera and Otello.
