Antonietta Stella
Antonietta Stella was one of the most remarkable sopranos of her era. She achieved prominence at a young age but, unfortunately, did not enjoy the longevity of some of her contemporaries, such as Mirella Freni, Luciano Pavarotti, and Montserrat Caballé. At her peak, her voice was lush, immense, and supported by a secure technique that allowed her to effortlessly transition between lighter roles like Linda di Chamounix and Violetta and weightier ones like Tosca and Cio-Cio San.
We are delighted to present this retrospective, which includes arias and excerpts from La Battaglia di Legnano, Aida, Un Ballo in Maschera, Don Carlo, Otello, Madama Butterfly, La Fanciulla del West, Tosca, and Andrea Chénier.
