Pros:
- Leyla Gencer lives and breaths the title role. Highlights include a beautifully sung "Io son l'umile ancella" and a red-hot monologue in Act III.
- The rest of the cast is excellent, particularly Mario Zambon's Maurizio, but it is clearly Gencer's night.
- Previous versions of this recording were not pitched correctly. I have corrected the issue in this remaster.
