Pros:

  • Even though Joan Cross originated the role of Elizabeth I, Sylvia Fisher owned the role. Her aristocratic poise and Wagnerian reserves, brought this queen to life.
  • The supporting cast is excellent, particularly Don Garrard as Sir Walter Raleigh, Derek Hammond-Stround as Cecil and Milla Andrew as Frances.

Cons:

  • None to mention.
