The wonderful thing about the bel canto revival of the 50s and 60s was that there were so many capable singers to participate in it. Here Anna Moffo sings the part of Elvira and makes it her own. The runs are flawless and the high-notes sound as if they were enormous in the theater. She is joined by Gianni Raimondi who brings a meatier tone than one is accustomed to Arturo. The sound is excellent.
