This is another entry in the esoterica category.   We can say this today but it enjoyed a great success in Paris in its day and then, like many other works, was all but forgotten.  Written in 1825 it shares many characteristics of works from this time.  It is clearly of the romantic era using instruments like harps and trombones but there are times in which it sounds steeped in classical traditions.  The performance is in German and the sound is fair to good.
