The Milanese public was fortunate in the 70s to have singers like Montserrat Caballé, Luciano Pavarotti and Piero Cappuccilli, all in their prime, singing there regularly. Caballé sings the part of Luisa with true spinto power while maintaining the integrity of the fioratura passages. Pavarotti sings with ease and always a sense of fun. The sound is very good.
