Sound Quality:
 This recording is a very satisfying artifact for anyone that admires Leonie Rysanek & James King. These two artists were often paired together, and even though their sensibilities may have differed (Rysanek being on the wild side and King excelling in conveying the stoic heroism of his characters), they were well paired because of their ability to alternate between the Italian and the German rep. Highlights of this recording include and exciting Suicidio by Rysanek, "Vesti la giubba' sung by King and the love duet from Tosca. The sound is superb! |
