Pros:

  • Faust was on the heavier end of Alfredo Kraus' repertoire, but he nonetheless makes the part his own, bringing sumptuous lyricism and ringing high notes.
  • I was surprised at how good Antonietta Cannerile-Berdini was as Margarita. Her voluptuous sound brought to my mind Virginia Zeani in her prime.

Cons:

  • The sound is fair to good.
